  • Customers who leave to find an ATM often don’t come back

Licensed, Insured & Certified ATM Installers

An ATM handles cash and card data, so who installs it matters. myFloridaATM.com is a licensed ATM installer operated by Hunza, LLC, with the registrations, insurance and certifications a professional ATM business should have:

Registered Florida business

Hunza, LLC is a registered Florida LLC with a federal EIN and the applicable local business tax receipt.

Licensed & insured

We carry general liability insurance and workers’ compensation, so your business is protected while we work on site.

Processor-connected

We work under an ATM processing / ISO agreement with a processor and sponsor bank, which connects your ATM to the card networks.

Manufacturer/processor certified

Our technicians hold ATM manufacturer and processor training for the machines we install and service.

Experienced technicians

10 years and 75+ ATMs installed across Central Florida β€” professional installation, secure setup and ongoing maintenance.

Secure ATM setup

Every ATM is bolted down, programmed correctly and tested with a live transaction before we leave.

What is an ATM processor or ISO, and why does my ATM need one?

An ATM can’t pay out cash on its own β€” it must connect to a processing network that checks the customer’s card with their bank, approves the withdrawal and settles the money. That connection comes through an ATM processor (often called an ISO, or Independent Sales Organization) working with a sponsor bank and the card networks. The processor also deposits your surcharge and the cash you dispensed back into your bank account. myFloridaATM.com has an ATM processing/ISO relationship in place, so we set up the processing for you as part of installation.

How much does ATM installation cost in Winter Park, FL?

A standard ATM installation in Winter Park is free β€” no upfront installation cost. That includes delivery positioning, floor bolt-down, programming, a live test transaction and an operator walkthrough. Electrical, through-the-wall, outdoor or extra security work is quoted separately β€” before any work begins. In short, the ATM installation cost to your business is $0 β€” no charge for delivery, bolt-down or ATM setup.

How long does ATM installation take?

On-site installation takes 60–120 minutes, including programming and the first live transaction. If your ATM has to be ordered, allow 1–2 weeks for shipping. With a free placement, we schedule delivery and install together. Every ATM machine installation ends with a live test transaction before we leave.

Can I get free ATM placement for my business?

Yes β€” if your location has steady customer traffic. With our free full-service placement, we supply, install, load cash and maintain the ATM at no cost to you, and you earn commission on every ATM transaction. Convenience stores, gas stations, bars, restaurants, salons and event venues usually qualify. Our free ATM placement programs handle ATM placements from start to finish, and every one includes free ATM installation.

Why Winter Park Businesses Choose Our ATM Installation Company

Most companies that “do ATMs” also sell POS systems, phones and cameras. Florida businesses have specific needs β€” tourist-season surges, hurricane-season power events, cash-heavy nightlife and vacation-rental traffic. We built this service to answer one search better than anyone: ATM installation in Florida.

1. Machine Expertise

A Genmega G2500 and a Hyosung Halo II have different footprints, power needs and dispenser setups. We match the model to your floor space, traffic and budget instead of pushing whatever is in stock. We install Genmega and Hyosung because they’re among the best ATMs for retail use β€” reliable, easy to service and supported locally.

2. Secure Installs

Every ATM is anchored to the floor. For higher-risk or outdoor spots we add steel cages, bollards, lighting and anti-skimming hardware β€” sized to the location, not upsold.

3. Program Flexibility

Free full-service placement, a merchant-loaded partnership (a higher commission) or a merchant-owned ATM where you keep 100% of the surcharge. We show you the numbers for each.

4. Florida Business Focus

Convenience stores, gas stations, bars, restaurants, hotels and vacation-rental areas along I-4 and US-192 β€” we know where cash demand is highest and plan installs around your busiest hours.

Is it worth putting an ATM in my business?

For most cash-heavy businesses, yes. An ATM brings in surcharge income on every withdrawal, and customers who get cash on site usually spend part of it in your store. The return depends on foot traffic and cash demand β€” we estimate it with you before you commit. If you’ve been asking yourself whether to put an ATM in my store, start with free placement and see real numbers first.

Do I need a permit to install an ATM in Winter Park?

A standard indoor ATM plugged into an existing outlet usually does not need a building permit in Winter Park. Outdoor, through-the-wall or drive-up ATMs, or a new electrical circuit, may require City of Winter Park approval. Check your lease too β€” many landlords must sign off first. We confirm this during the free site check.

How We Compare to Other ATM Installation Companies

Florida business owners deserve to see the real differences before choosing an ATM provider. Here’s how a dedicated ATM machine installation company stacks up against generalists.

What Makes Us Different

  • βœ… ATMs only β€” 100% of our training, tools and parts are for ATMs
  • βœ… Free ATM installation β€” no upfront installation cost, metro or rural
  • βœ… Commission on every transaction β€” you earn from day one
  • βœ… Florida-built setup β€” surge protection, indoor placement and cellular backup for storm season
  • βœ… 60–120 minute installs β€” open for business the same day
  • βœ… Local Central Florida techs β€” a real person who answers the phone
  • βœ… Seasonal planning β€” we know the November–April cash peak and plan loads around it

Winter Park ATM Demand by Season (Plan Your Install)

Timing your install right means your ATM is earning when traffic peaks.

🌴 January–April (Snowbird & Spring Break)

Snowbird and spring-break season. Tourist areas around Orlando, Kissimmee and Davenport see their highest cash demand β€” install before January to catch it.

β˜€οΈ May–August (Theme-Park Summer)

Summer theme-park and family-travel season. Hotels, vacation rentals and attraction-area stores stay busy; bars and event venues see steady weekend cash use.

πŸŒ€ June–November (Hurricane Season)

Hurricane season. Power outages and storm prep make secure anchoring, surge protection and a quick-response repair plan essential β€” and cash demand rises when card systems go down.

πŸŽ„ October–December (Holiday Peak)

Holiday shopping and events. Many businesses see their highest withdrawal volume of the year. Book installs by September to be live in time.

Scheduling Intelligence

We plan every install around how Central Florida actually moves. We avoid I-4 rush hours and theme-park traffic on US-192 and International Drive, schedule around your busiest register hours (lunch for restaurants, evenings for bars, weekends for laundromats), and watch the afternoon thunderstorm window in summer so your ATM is powered up and tested before the rain hits. During hurricane watches we pause installs and focus on protecting machines already in the field.

Want your own estimate? We’ll show you realistic withdrawal volume and income for your location before you commit.

How much does an ATM make per month?

It depends on how many withdrawals you get and the surcharge you set. As an example, 300 withdrawals a month at a $3.00 surcharge is $900 in surcharge revenue before processing costs. On a merchant-owned ATM you keep 100% of the surcharge less processing; on a partnership it is typically earns a higher commission. We’ll estimate realistic volume for your location before you decide.

Our 6-Step ATM Installation Process

  1. Quick phone consultation (5 minutes). Tell us your business type, foot traffic and goals. We recommend a program and machine.
  2. Site check. We confirm floor space, a standard power outlet, connectivity and the best visible spot near your register or entrance.
  3. Clear written quote. Free installation, any extra electrical, through-wall or security work listed upfront.
  4. Delivery & installation (60–120 minutes). Positioning, floor bolt-down and programming of surcharge, receipts and processor.
  5. Live test & walkthrough. We run the first live transaction and show you how to load cash, change paper and read reports.
  6. Ongoing support. Monitoring, phone support and local technician dispatch when something needs attention.

Which Winter Park businesses benefit most from an ATM?

Any business where customers need or prefer cash β€” from Park Avenue restaurants and Hannibal Square bars to salons, laundromats and convenience stores serving Rollins College students. These five see the strongest results β€” here’s why, and how we set each one up:

ATMs for Convenience Stores

Cash buyers for lottery, tobacco, beer and small snacks β€” plus card minimums that push people out the door.

  • Placed near the register or entrance, where people see it on the way in
  • Full-service placement if you don’t want to load cash
  • See our Kissimmee convenience store case study above

ATMs for Gas Stations

Drivers stop for fuel and leave for cash. Busy corridors like US-192, US-27 and I-4 exits see heavy visitor traffic.

  • Indoor placement inside the store, away from pump-area skimming risk
  • Bolted, chip-capable machines with encrypted PIN pads
  • Fast repairs so a dead machine doesn’t sit for days

ATMs for Bars & Restaurants

Tips, cash tabs, cover charges and late-night crowds β€” especially in Downtown Orlando, Mills 50 and Daytona during race weeks and bike events.

  • Keeps cash spending inside your venue instead of down the street
  • Surcharge set to fit a nightlife crowd
  • See our bar & restaurant case study above

ATMs for Laundromats

Many customers still need cash for machines, vending and change. An ATM next to the change machine keeps them washing.

  • Works alongside coin and card systems
  • Steady, all-day usage
  • See our Winter Park laundromat case study above

ATMs for Hotels & Vacation Rentals

Guests need cash for tips, valet, local vendors and cash-only spots. Common around I-Drive, Kissimmee, Davenport and ChampionsGate.

  • Lobby or clubhouse placement
  • A guest convenience you get paid for
  • Free placement available for qualifying properties

Run a different kind of business β€” a barbershop, flea market, salon, smoke shop or event venue? If people pay in cash or ask “is there an ATM here?”, you’re likely a good fit.

Free Placement vs. Partnership vs. Buying Your Own ATM β€” Which Earns More?

The right program depends on your traffic, how much cash you want to tie up, and how hands-on you want to be. Here is the honest trade-off.

Free / Full-ServiceMerchant-Loaded PartnershipMerchant-Owned
Upfront cost$0$0 for the machine; you supply the cashMachine purchase (installation free)

Rule of thumb: the more cash your customers use, the more it pays to take on loading and ownership. If you are unsure of your volume, start with free placement β€” we can move you to a partnership or ownership later.

What do I need for ATM machine installation in my shop?

Most retail ATMs need four things: about a 2 Γ— 2 ft spot on a solid floor that can take anchor bolts, a standard 120V outlet within reach, a way to connect to the processor (a phone line, an internet connection or a cellular wireless modem we supply), and permission from your landlord if you lease the space. Indoor freestanding installs rarely need any construction. Through-the-wall and outdoor installs involve wall cutting, electrical and possibly a building permit, so we plan those separately. Cash machine installation in a standard retail shop rarely needs any construction.

Phone Line, Internet or Wireless β€” How Does an ATM Connect?

Wireless (cellular) modem

The most common choice today. No dedicated line needed, quick to set up, and the ATM keeps working if your store internet goes down.

Internet (Ethernet)

Uses your existing network. Fast and cheap, but the ATM goes offline whenever your internet does β€” a real risk during Florida storms.

Dial-up phone line

The older method. Still supported by many machines but slower, and fewer businesses keep a landline today.

We recommend the connection that keeps your ATM online most reliably at your location and set it up during installation.

How much should I charge for an ATM surcharge?

Set the surcharge close to what nearby ATMs charge. Customers will pay a fair fee for convenience, but a fee well above the area norm pushes them to the next machine. We check what is typical around your location before programming your fee, and you can change it later. On a merchant-owned ATM you choose the fee; on placement programs we agree it with you.

How Much Cash Should I Keep in My ATM?

Load enough to cover your busiest days without leaving thousands of dollars idle. A simple way to estimate it:

  • Average withdrawal Γ— withdrawals per day Γ— days between loads = cash needed.
  • Example: $60 average Γ— 15 withdrawals a day Γ— 7 days β‰ˆ $6,300 for a weekly load.
  • Load extra before holidays, paydays, events and long weekends β€” that is when ATMs most often run empty.
  • An empty ATM earns nothing and sends customers elsewhere. If you don’t want to manage cash, choose free full-service placement and we handle it.

7 ATM Placement Mistakes That Cost Florida Businesses Money

  • Hidden in a back corner β€” if customers can’t see it, they won’t use it.
  • No signage β€” a simple “ATM Inside” sign on the door drives walk-in traffic.
  • Blocking an aisle or exit β€” creates safety and ADA problems.
  • Not anchored β€” an unbolted ATM is an easy theft target.
  • Wrong surcharge β€” too high drives users away; too low leaves money on the table.
  • Running out of cash β€” usually right before a holiday weekend.
  • Relying on store Wi-Fi alone β€” the ATM goes down with your network, often during storms.

We review placement during the free site check so your ATM is visible, accessible and secure from day one.

Ready to pick the right program? Free placement, partnership or ownership β€” we’ll compare them for your business.

Hurricane Season: How Do I Protect My ATM?

From June through November, Florida ATMs face power outages, flooding and storm-related break-ins. Before a storm:

  • Make sure the ATM is bolted to the floor β€” anchoring is included in every install we do.
  • Remove or reduce the cash load if your business will close.
  • Unplug or use surge protection to guard the electronics from power spikes.
  • Keep the ATM off the floor of flood-prone areas where possible, and away from doors and windows.
  • After the storm, call us for a check before reopening if there was water or power damage.

When card systems go down after a storm, cash demand jumps β€” a working ATM can keep your register moving when others can’t.

ATM Compliance & Security Basics Every Owner Should Know

EMV chip readers

Modern ATMs read chip cards. Older magnetic-stripe-only machines can leave the owner liable for counterfeit card fraud and are being phased out by networks. We install and service EMV-capable models.

ADA accessibility

ATMs must meet ADA requirements such as reachable controls, Braille keypads and audio (headphone) guidance, and be placed with clear floor space for wheelchair access. We position machines with this in mind.

Surcharge disclosure

The fee must be disclosed on screen before the customer completes a withdrawal, so they can cancel. Your ATM is programmed to show it automatically.

Skimming & tampering

Card skimmers and tampering are real risks. Visible placement, cameras, good lighting, anti-skimming hardware and regular checks reduce them.

What happens if my ATM breaks down?

Call us. Many issues β€” communication errors, receipt paper, simple card-reader faults β€” can be diagnosed by phone or remotely. If a technician is needed, we dispatch a local Central Florida tech. On free placement and partnership programs, repairs are included; merchant-owned ATMs can be covered by a service plan or billed per visit.

Do you offer ATM installation anywhere in Florida?

Our core service area is Central Florida β€” Orlando, Winter Park, Kissimmee, Daytona Beach, Ocala, Davenport and the surrounding counties. Locations outside these areas may be possible, with travel quoted upfront; installation is free in rural areas too.

What problems does an ATM solve for a Central Florida business?

Short answer: it stops cash-paying customers from walking out, and it cuts what you lose to card fees on small sales. These are the problems owners tell us about most often:

  • “Cash only” signs that cost sales. Food trucks, barbershops, bars and laundromats that take cash watch people leave to find an ATM β€” and many don’t come back.
  • Card fees eating small tickets. On a $4 coffee or a $6 wash, the processing fee takes a noticeable bite. Customers who pull cash from your ATM pay you a surcharge instead.
  • Visitors whose cards don’t work smoothly. Central Florida sees a constant stream of tourists, including international visitors who often prefer to pay in cash. An ATM inside your door keeps that spending with you.
  • An old ATM nobody services. We hear it every week: the previous provider stopped answering, the machine shows “temporarily out of service,” and it still has a contract attached. We can review that contract and quote a replacement or takeover.
  • Security worries. Owners want to know the machine is bolted down, the cash is protected and the card reader is tamper-resistant. That’s part of every install we do.

Do you install ATMs in my part of Central Florida?

Yes β€” we cover Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Volusia, Marion and Polk counties, including the areas below. Installation is free everywhere we serve, from the Orlando metro to rural areas. Not sure if you’re in range? Call with your ZIP code and we’ll tell you on the spot.

How does Florida weather affect an ATM, and how do we protect yours?

Florida is hard on electronics. Heat, humidity, lightning and hurricanes are the main reasons ATMs here fail early β€” and most of that damage is preventable with the right setup.

  • Lightning and power surges. Central Florida sits in one of the most lightning-active regions in the country, and summer afternoon storms are almost daily. We recommend a surge protector on the power line and the communication line, because a surge through either one can kill a modem or main board.
  • Heat and humidity. We place machines indoors, away from doors that open all day and away from direct sun through glass. Moist air and big temperature swings are tough on card readers and receipt printers.
  • Hurricane season (June 1 – November 30). Every machine we install is bolted to the floor. When a storm is coming, we help you plan cash removal and safe shutdown; after power returns, we can check the machine before you reopen it to customers.
  • Salt air near the beach. For beachside Daytona locations, indoor placement matters even more β€” salt air speeds up corrosion on outdoor equipment.
  • Power blips. Short outages after storms can leave an ATM stuck offline. Most issues are fixed with a proper restart; if not, a local tech comes out.

What rules apply to running an ATM in Florida in 2026?

Here are the main requirements in plain English. We set each machine up to meet them, but this is general information, not legal advice.

  • Fee disclosure (federal Regulation E). The ATM must tell the user about the surcharge on screen and let them cancel before any fee is charged.
  • Surcharge amount. Florida doesn’t set a dollar cap on ATM surcharges, so you choose the fee. We help you price it for your area β€” too high and customers go elsewhere, too low and you leave money on the table.
  • ADA accessibility. Under the 2010 ADA Standards, controls need to be within reach of a wheelchair user, the machine needs speech output through a headphone jack, and the keypad must be usable without sight. We check the clear floor space and approach before we choose a spot.
  • Card security. We install EMV chip-capable machines with encrypted PIN pads. Installing a skimmer is a crime under Florida law, and we show your staff how to spot a tampered card reader.
  • Your lease and local rules. A standard indoor ATM plugged into an existing outlet usually doesn’t need a building permit. Wall-mounted, outdoor or drive-up units, or a new electrical circuit, may need city or county approval. Check your lease too β€” some landlords want to sign off first.

ATM Questions Answered

What do I need to install an ATM?

Floor space of about 2 Γ— 2 feet, a standard electrical outlet nearby and a phone line or wireless connection. We can supply a wireless modem if you don’t have a suitable line.

Who loads the cash in the ATM?

On free full-service placement, we do. On a merchant-loaded partnership or a merchant-owned ATM, you load the cash and earn a higher commission.

Can you install an ATM I already bought?

Yes. We install supported machines bought from other suppliers, including used units, as long as they are compatible with current processing.

Can you install an ATM outdoors?

Yes. Outdoor and through-the-wall ATMs need weather protection, lighting and extra security such as enclosures and bollards. We quote these separately.

Is buying, leasing or free placement better?

Free placement is best for zero cost and zero effort. A partnership earns more with a little effort. Owning your ATM earns the most if you have strong cash demand. We compare all three with you.

Which ATM brands do you install?

Mainly Genmega (G2500, Onyx, C6000, Nova, GT3000, GT5000) and Hyosung (Halo II, Force / MX2800SE, MX2800T, NH2700CE).

Do I need a permit to put an ATM in my store?

Usually not for a standard indoor ATM that plugs into an existing outlet. Wall-mounted, outdoor or drive-up machines, or jobs that need a new electrical circuit, may need approval from your city or county. Your lease may also require landlord approval.

Is there a limit on ATM fees in Florida?

Florida has no state cap on ATM surcharges. The fee must be shown on screen before the transaction, and the customer must be able to cancel. We help you set a fee that fits your area.

What happens to my ATM during a hurricane?

It stays bolted down. Before a storm, we help you plan cash removal and shutdown. After power is back, we can check the machine before customers use it.

Do you service my ZIP code?

We serve most of Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Volusia, Marion and Polk counties β€” including Orlando, Winter Park, Kissimmee, Daytona Beach, Ocala and Davenport. Call (786) 554-3977 with your ZIP code to confirm.

Can an ATM be installed outside my business?

Yes, but it needs a weather-rated machine and stronger security, and it may need a permit. For most stores, bars and laundromats, indoor placement is cheaper and earns about the same.

Does an ATM help with tourists and visitors?
